The Ladies of Carmel

Our organization is one of service, dedication , caring and fellowship. We are women of all ages , single and married, stay at home mothers, retirees and those who work outside the house in a variety of occupations.  We try to be visible examples of Christian faith by contributing our time and talents for the advancement ofThe Ladies of Carmel organization is one of service, dedication, fellowship and caring. It is run for and by the women of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Our members are women of strong faith and we try to be a visible example of Christian life to the parish and community. The ladies enrich many lives by living their faith and assisting the OLMC community and surrounding communities with kindness and generosity.

We fund and support a wide variety of activities and ministries:  the Food Pantry, Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner, and donation of toiletries for AIDS patients, dinners for CNU students. The Ladies of Carmel raise funds with Book and Bake Sales, Garage Sales, Auctions, and Raffles.  Through the years these fundraisers have made it possible for the Ladies of Carmel to contribute $60,000 to the Capital Campaign Fund, help fund the Church Bell Tower and Life House and contribute $12,000 to the construction of a new school playground and $45,000 towards the St. Michael Hall fund and most recently $5,000 towards a new sound system for the church.

The Ladies of Carmel organization is comprised of smaller Guilds where women meet regularly in different neighborhoods usually in members' homes to share their faith and plan and support all of the Ladies of Carmel activities.  Guilds meet once a month from September through May and all the guilds are open to new members.
